The 4 C's - Color of your Diamond
Color In most cases, the more colorless the diamond the more rare and valuable it is. Some diamonds come out of the ground with very vivid and well-defined colors. These diamonds are extremely rare and valuable. While white-colored (Colorless or near colorless) diamonds remain the most popular, diamonds are actually found in a full spectrum of colors. The color scale for diamonds was developed by GIA.
The range starts with alphabet letter D and grades by each letter to Z. Color differences between D and R can be so subtle they are barely decernible by the average viewer. In fact, color differences are graded under controlled light conditions and are compared to a master set for accuracy before a final grade is assigned to a stone. Ask me, your Diamond Graduate GIA Len Pickett - to show you an array of color grades next to each other to help you determine your preference.
If your interest is in strongly colored Diamonds that are newly popular like Canary Yellow or Blue Diamonds, we can help you with that as well, just stop in to our store with your wish list.
